Description:   The Grid pavilion is a small public project located next to Deptford Creek. The building is a public art theater designed with the concept "Going back to Nature". The pavilion is molded in the ground, thus using earth in mixture with rammed earth as primary structure of the premises. In order to enclose the amphytheatrical stage a gridshell structure is build on top of it with the help of soft wood that is insulated and cladded on top to create a building by regulations. On top of the gridshell is created an opening that lets light in at the center of the stage where a tree is planted so that any performance happening inside is recreated around nature.
